This luxury residence was designed for Mr. T. Aravindan. The site of this 6000 sft builtup residence is located in Kovilambakkam, chennai. The residence, illustrates the richness of modern architectural ideologies in blending interior and exterior spaces and providing an unified architectural expression. The residence has been designed with geometry that plays with light and shadow just right to get the perfect ambience for a home. Elements that were moved from the site for construction were completely reused in the building process.

Protected from public view the house opens up to the elements in the foyer and living. With skylights above staircase and courts creating an intermeshing series of spaces light is the featured organizing principle. Sunlight diffused through the skylights continuously changethe feel of the spaces through day and through seasons. Each room has a different view which gives a sense of privacy and uniqueness even while providing a controlled user experience.

The structure with straight lines has been planned with voluminous spaces with large glazing, letting natural light to penetrate. The living is planned as a double height while the space above the foyer locates a family room while also providing access to the landscaped terrace balcony. The residence has five bedrooms with ensuite.The house has been designed with integrated solar power generation unit. The residence's exterior is monitored using CCTV. The residence is planned with power saving systems that were part of the inital concept, apart from the passive techniques used in the design. The stormwater management systems form the core of the landscaping component of the residence.
